2. How much does it cost to install a fence?

The cost of fence installation depends on several factors, including the type of fence, the size of your property, and any special customization or challenges with installation. We offer free estimates to help you understand the costs involved.

4. Do you provide free estimates?

5. How long does the installation process take?

Fence installation time can vary depending on the type of fence, the size of the area, and weather conditions. On average most of our projects are completed start to finish in 1 day, for the larger projects below can be an average timeline.

• Chain Link: 1-3 days

• Ornamental: 2-5 days

• Vinyl Privacy: 2-4 days

We’ll always keep you informed about the timeline and work with you to minimize any disruptions to your property.

6. Do I need a permit to install a fence?

Permit requirements vary by location. We recommend checking with your local Minnesota city or county office. In many cases, we can help you navigate the permit process or advise you on the best course of action.

7. Will the fence last through all seasons?

Yes! Our fences are built to withstand various weather conditions. Whether it’s the coldest winter or the hottest summer, we ensure our materials are durable and long-lasting.

• Chain Link: Galvanized steel is resistant to rust and corrosion.

• Ornamental: Made from high-quality metals like aluminum or steel, and finished with coatings to resist weathering.

• Vinyl Privacy: Vinyl is highly resistant to fading, cracking, and warping.

8. Do you offer fence repair services?

Yes, we offer fence repair services for all the types of fences we install. Whether your fence has been damaged in a storm or simply needs some maintenance, we can help restore its functionality and appearance.

9. Is vinyl privacy fencing better than wood fencing?

Vinyl fencing has several advantages over traditional wood fencing:

• Low Maintenance: No painting, staining, or sealing is required.

• Durability: Vinyl fences are weather-resistant and won’t rot or warp.

• Aesthetic: Vinyl fences have a clean, modern look and come in a variety of styles and colors.

That said, wood fences can offer a more natural look if you’re aiming for a specific aesthetic, and they may be a more affordable option upfront. We’d be happy to help you weigh the pros and cons based on your needs!

10. Can I customize my fence design?

Absolutely! We offer customization options for all types of fences. For ornamental fences, we can provide various heights. Vinyl and chain link fences can also be customized with different heights, and color.  Let us know what you're looking for, and we’ll work with you to bring your vision to life.

11. How do I maintain my fence?

Maintenance varies depending on the type of fence:

• Chain Link: Minimal upkeep. Occasionally check for rust and apply a protective coating if needed.

• Ornamental: Inspect for any rust or damage, and touch up paint as needed.

• Vinyl: Simply clean with soap and water to keep it looking new.

We’ll provide you with specific care instructions during the installation process to ensure your fence lasts for years.

12. Do you provide a warranty?

Yes, we offer a 10 year labor and manufacturer warranty.

14. What type of fence is best for my dog?

When choosing a fence for your dog, it’s important to consider factors like the breed, size, and behavior of your dog. Here are some general recommendations for different types of dogs:

Chain Link Fences for Dogs

• Best for: Small to large dogs that are active and like to jump or dig.

• Why: Chain link fences are sturdy and offer visibility, which can help reduce anxiety in some dogs. They are also great for dogs that need plenty of space to run.

Ornamental Fences for Dogs

• Best for: Smaller to medium-sized dogs, or for pet owners who want a more decorative yet secure fence.

• Why: Ornamental fences are not only beautiful but can also be designed with height and spacing in mind to prevent small dogs from escaping. Some models feature a solid base, which can deter digging or jumping.

Vinyl Privacy Fences for Dogs

• Best for: Dogs that are easily distracted by outside stimuli or those who need extra privacy and security.

• Why: Vinyl fences offer full privacy, blocking off visual distractions and preventing your dog from focusing on things like people or other animals passing by. They are also solid and tall, making it harder for dogs to jump or see what's on the other side.

• This fence type is also great for dogs with anxiety.

Additional Tips for Choosing the Right Fence for Your Dog:

• Height: Make sure the fence is tall enough for your dog’s jumping ability. Some dogs are excellent jumpers (like Huskies or Boxers) and may need a higher fence.

15. How do I find my property lines?

Before installing a fence, it’s important to know where your property lines are to avoid disputes with neighbors and ensure you’re building within your boundaries. Here are a few ways to find your property lines:

1. Check Your Property Deed or Survey

Your property deed or land survey should have a map or description that outlines the boundaries of your property. If you don’t have a copy of your survey, it may be available through your county or city’s land records office.

2. Use Online Mapping Tools

Some local government websites offer online mapping tools where you can view your property lines. These tools are usually not as precise as a professional survey but can give you a general idea of your boundaries.

3. Hire a Professional Surveyor

If you need precise, legally accurate property lines, the best option is to hire a licensed surveyor. They will come to your property, use specialized tools to pinpoint your exact boundaries, and provide you with a detailed map of your property lines.

4. Talk to Your Neighbors

If you’re unsure, you can also talk to your neighbors—especially if they’ve already installed a fence or are familiar with the property boundaries. This can sometimes help clarify things, but it’s always best to verify with official documentation or a surveyor.

5. Look for Markers on Your Property

In some areas, property lines are marked with physical markers such as metal stakes, wooden posts, or even small survey flags. If you have a survey marker on your property, you can use that to estimate your boundaries.

Important Note:

It’s crucial to confirm your property lines before installing a fence to avoid encroaching on your neighbor’s land. Installing a fence on the wrong side of the line could lead to legal disputes, so taking the extra step to verify your property boundaries is always worth it.
